I love Mike Dooley and his daily "Messages from the Universe" from tut.com. They brighten my day or give me a good start to the day. Today's message was this, and it got me thinking:
" It's like all of the bad stuff, Sandra, is just training so that you can fly higher into the light, on magic wings, over the rainbow, on a white unicorn, with your best friends, and live happily-ever-after. Seriously, The Universe"
Bad stuff happens to all of us. I know that it is a part of life and so is the good stuff. My mind went to the suffering from cancer my poor father went through just before he died. As much as I believe in life after death and our time on earth being an education for the soul, I couldn't understand why suffering had to hurt so badly. There is a passage in the bible that says something like 'those who suffer the most get to be closer to Jesus.' Whether it is true or not, I read it to my father trusting he could here me. It was an awful time.
Anyways, today just got me thinking. Maybe there is fabulous, joyous times ahead. Maybe the tough times lead to the best times. May happen while we are still on earth, but maybe not. This one I leave in the hand of "The Big Guy" and have faith that we have nothing to fear if we are the best person we can be.
